Meet Steam Vibe
StreamVibe is a live streaming and video platform built for one clear mission: give creators and viewers a fast, seamless way to stream, upload, and discover video content — live or on-demand — all in one place.
The ChallengeLive streaming demands near-instant video delivery and multi-quality playback across devices, while a video platform also needs strong content discovery, social features, and moderation at scale — much like the balance YouTube strikes between live and uploaded content. Most platforms treat these as separate systems, and moderation is often bolted on as an afterthought rather than built into the core pipeline. The team set out to build a unified platform that handled live streaming, VOD, and AI-driven content moderation as one integrated system from the ground up.

Project Overview
StreamVibe combines live streaming, on-demand video, and social interaction into one platform, giving creators a single place to broadcast, upload, and build a community around their content.
Goals & Success
The main goals were to deliver low-latency live streaming with reliable multi-quality playback, and to keep the platform safe through automated content moderation at scale. Success was measured by stream latency, transcoding reliability across quality tiers, and moderation accuracy in flagging inappropriate content.
The Solution: A Real-Time Streaming & Moderation Engine
Fluxion partnered with the StreamVibe team to design and build a streaming platform that feels fast and safe, not stitched-together.
How It WorksRTMP Ingestion & HLS Delivery for live streams with automatic multi-quality transcoding (360p/720p/1080p); WebRTC Integration for low-latency interactive streaming; AI-Powered Content Moderation using YOLOv8 for real-time frame analysis and NSFW/violation detection; Live Chat & Social Layer with real-time messaging, likes, follows, and playlists; VOD & Analytics giving creators recording, playback, and viewer engagement insights.
Key Features
- Live Streaming & Transcoding
- RTMP ingestion with automatic multi-quality transcoding (360p/720p/1080p) and HLS delivery for reliable playback across devices.
- AI-Powered Content Moderation
- Real-time frame-by-frame analysis using YOLOv8 to detect and flag inappropriate content automatically, backed by keyword-based chat moderation.
- VOD & Content Management
- Stream recording, on-demand playback, playlists, and content categorization so creators' work stays discoverable after the stream ends.
- Live Chat & Social Layer
- Real-time chat, likes, follows, and notifications that let viewers engage with creators and each other as it happens.

Results & Business Impact
Reliable, low-latency delivery: the RTMP-to-HLS pipeline with automatic transcoding across 360p, 720p, and 1080p keeps playback smooth regardless of device or connection. Safer platform by design: AI-powered moderation using YOLOv8 screens content frame-by-frame in real time, backed by automated chat filtering, instead of relying on manual review after the fact. Stronger creator-viewer connection through live chat, follows, and notifications that keep engagement happening during the stream, not just after it.
What was deliveredan end-to-end streaming pipeline (RTMP ingestion, WebRTC, FFmpeg transcoding, HLS output) alongside AI content moderation, real-time chat, VOD, and analytics, all containerized and deployed with Docker, Nginx, and CI/CD via GitHub Actions. Tech stack: React, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Socket.io, FFmpeg, Python (YOLOv8), AWS S3.
With Fluxion, StreamVibe went from a streaming concept to a working platform architected to handle live video, moderation, and community features as one integrated system.
